Manganese dioxide
The metal lithium is used as the negative electrode, the heat-treated manganese dioxide is used as the positive electrode, the isolation membrane is PP or PE film, the cylindrical battery is the same as the lithium-ion battery separator, the electrolyte is an organic solution of lithium perchlorate, cylindrical or button type. The battery needs to be produced in a dry environment with a humidity of ≤1%.
Features: low self-discharge rate, annual self-discharge can be ≤1%, fully sealed (metal welding, lazer seal) batteries can meet 10 years of life, semi-sealed batteries are generally 5 years, if the work control is not good, it will not reach this life. Yiwei, which has done a good job in the development of cylindrical lithium manganese batteries, has achieved automated production, and the battery can be tested without explosion in short circuit, over-discharge and other tests.
Generally, on the motherboard of a desktop computer, there is a button-type lithium battery that provides a weak current and can be used normally for about 3 years. Some hotel access cards, instruments and meters also use lithium-manganese dioxide batteries, and the usage is declining year by year.
Thionyl chloride
The negative electrode is lithium metal, and the positive electrode and electrolyte are thionyl chloride (sulfuryl chloride). The cylindrical battery is charged immediately after assembly. The voltage is 3.6V. It is one of the battery types with the most stable working voltage and the battery with the highest capacity per unit volume (mass). It is suitable for use in electronic equipment that cannot be maintained frequently, and provides a slight current.
Other lithium batteries include lithium-ferrous sulfide batteries, lithium-sulfur oxide batteries, etc.
